Hong Kong Chu Hai College seeks academic staff for interdisciplinary teaching and research across the three departments. One appointee may also be considered for the role of Head of Business Administration.
Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
- Design and implement innovative pedagogical strategies to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Contribute to curriculum review and development, aligned with industry and disciplinary advances.
- Develop teaching materials, including case studies, simulations, and techenhanced resources.
- Support programme accreditations (e.g., LPA/re-LPA under HKCAAVQ) and ensure quality assurance compliance.
- Assess student work and provide constructive feedback.
- Conduct impactful research leading to high-quality publications, conference presentations, and knowledge transfer.
- Secure competitive research funding and forge collaborations with academic, industry, and professional partners locally and internationally.
- Fulfill academic and administrative obligations, actively participate in meetings, and contribute to departmental governance.
- Pursue ongoing professional development in teaching methods and research practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the College.
Requirements
- A PhD in a relevant discipline is required; professional qualifications are highly desirable.
- Strong, sustained publication record with demonstrated research impact (e.g., citations, grants, industry or policy influence).
- Approachable teaching style committed to student development and learning enhancement.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Excellent written and spoken English and Putonghua.
- Expertise in fintech, big data, marketing, management, or related emerging fields preferred.
- Willingness to engage in interdisciplinary teaching and learning.
