Termez State University invites applications from qualified international academics for teaching and research positions at the Faculty of National Costume and Art.

The University is particularly interested in candidates with expertise in:

Computer-Aided Costume and Fashion Design

• Computer-Aided Fashion Design

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research, curriculum development, student supervision, creative projects, and international academic cooperation.

Main responsibilities include:

• Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in English;
• Delivering theoretical and practical courses related to Computer-Aided Fashion Design;
• Supervising undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral research and creative projects;
• Conducting and publishing research in relevant academic and professional areas;
• Contributing to curriculum development and modernization;
• Introducing modern digital technologies and professional software into costume and fashion design education;
• Participating in international academic, creative, and research projects;
• Supporting the development of design studios, digital laboratories, and international cooperation at the Faculty of National Costume and Art.

Candidates should hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Fashion Design, Costume Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, Design Technologies, Art and Design, or a closely related field.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in computer-aided design, digital fashion technologies, international academic or creative projects, and publications or professional achievements in relevant fields.

• PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Fashion Design, Costume Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, Art and Design, Design Technologies, or a closely related field.
• Strong academic, creative, and/or research background in Computer-Aided Fashion Design.
• Demonstrated expertise in digital garment design, fashion CAD systems, pattern design and modelling, 2D and 3D Fashion Design Technologies, or related areas.
• Experience with professional fashion and apparel design software.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in English.
• Ability to supervise student research, design, and creative projects.
• Experience in international academic, research, or creative projects will be considered an advantage.
• Publications, exhibitions, professional design achievements, or participation in international fashion and design projects will be considered an advantage.

Specific Requirements

• Applicants must hold a doctoral degree relevant to the advertised position.
• Candidates should demonstrate expertise in Computer-Aided Costume and Fashion Design.
• Practical experience in digital pattern making, garment modelling, fashion visualization, computer-based garment construction, or 2D/3D fashion design technologies is highly desirable.
• Experience with professional CAD and digital fashion software is expected.
• Candidates should be able to deliver theoretical and practical courses in English.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in supervising graduate students and creative design projects.
• International teaching, research, design, exhibition, or project experience will be considered an advantage.
• The selected candidate is expected to contribute to curriculum development, digital design education, research and creative projects, and the academic development of the Faculty of National Costume and Art.

Benefits

• The annual salary will range from USD 20,000 to USD 30,000, depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, academic experience, professional achievements, and expertise. The salary will be paid in monthly installments throughout the year.

Eligibility criteria

• PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Fashion Design, Costume Design, Apparel Design, Textile Design, Art and Design, Design Technologies, or a closely related field.
• Relevant teaching, research, and/or professional design experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in computer-aided costume and fashion design, digital garment design, pattern modelling, or 2D and 3D Fashion Design Technologies.
• Experience with professional CAD and digital fashion design software.
• Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in English.
• Publications, exhibitions, professional design achievements, or participation in relevant international projects will be considered an advantage.
• Experience in supervising graduate students and creative design projects will be considered an advantage.
• International academic, research, or professional experience is desirable.

Selection process

Applications will be reviewed by the relevant academic and administrative representatives of Termez State University.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an online interview. During the interview, candidates may be asked to discuss their teaching experience, research and creative profile, experience with digital fashion technologies, professional design software, and potential contribution to the Faculty of National Costume and Art.

Candidates may also be asked to present examples of relevant academic, research, or creative work, where applicable.

The final decision will be based on academic qualifications, teaching competence, research and creative achievements, professional expertise, international experience, and the candidate’s potential contribution to the University’s academic and creative development.
