The Graduate School of Economics, The University of Osaka, seeks a wide range of talents in the field of Microeconomics.
Work content and job description
- Research in the Microeconomics, especially decision theory, game theory, industrial organization, information economics, mechanism design, market design, political economy, and related areas.
- Educational activities for undergraduate and graduate school students.
- Research in the above fields, especially decision theory, game theory, industrial organization, information economics, mechanism design, market design, political economy, and related areas.
- Teaching and research supervision for graduate and undergraduate students.
- Expected teaching responsibilities: (i) Introductory Microeconomics (graduate level, 2 credits), (ii) Microeconomics (undergraduate level, 4 credits), (iii) General Education Courses (2 credits), and related courses.
- For a professor, it is generally required to teach at least 4 credits for graduate students, and at least 6 credits for undergraduate students for each year.
- For an associate professor, it is generally required to teach at least 4 credits for graduate students each year, and at least 6 credits and 4 credits for undergraduate students every two years.
- For an associate professor (Lecturer Tenure-track position), teaching at least 4 credits of graduate-level courses and at least 4 credits of undergraduate-level courses each year.
- Administrative duties within the Graduate School of Economics and the University of Osaka.
