The University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD), established in 1822, is a historically renowned and continually innovative university. Art is a traditional advantage discipline of UWTSD. In the 2021 Guardian League Table, UWTSD ranked 3rd in Design & Crafts and 5th in Art among all universities in the UK.
Lanzhou University Wales College is a Sino-foreign cooperative educational institution jointly established by Lanzhou University and the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. It is a secondary college within Lanzhou University. Officially approved by the Ministry of Education in April 2023, the college began recruiting students in 2023, offering undergraduate programs in Environmental Design, Visual Communication Design, and a Master’s program in Art Design.
The college is currently recruiting outstanding professionals in the fields of Environmental Design, Visual Communication Design, Digital Media Art and Interaction Design from around the world.
I. Recruitment Positions, Requirements, and Benefits
(I) Professor
- 1. Candidates should generally be under the age of 45 (subject to appropriate relaxation depending on circumstances), in good health, with good moral character and academic ethics, rigorous research style, positive psychological quality, and team spirit.
- 2. Applicants should hold the title of Associate Professor (or above) in domestic universities or Assistant Professor (or above) in foreign universities. Those applying for the position of Professor should have a certain reputation and influence in their professional field, have published high-level academic papers as the first author, and have presided over national-level research projects in the past five years. Associate professors applying for this position must meet the appointment criteria for senior professional titles in the relevant discipline. Requirements for exceptionally outstanding candidates may be changed individually.
- 3. Proficiency in English and bilingual teaching ability in Chinese and English are required. Candidates with experience studying or working in English-speaking countries are preferred.
(II) Associate Professor
- 1. Candidates should be under the age of 40, in good health, with good moral character and academic ethics, rigorous research style, positive psychological quality, and team spirit.
- 2. Applicants should hold the title of Lecturer (or above) in domestic universities or Assistant Professor (or above) in foreign universities, or have outstanding achievements as a doctoral degree holder, and meet the criteria for associate senior professional titles in the relevant discipline. They should have the ability to independently undertake research, have published high-level academic achievements as the first author, and have led provincial-level or higher research projects in the past five years.
- 3. Proficiency in English and bilingual teaching ability in Chinese and English are required. Candidates with experience studying or working in English-speaking countries are preferred.
(III) Salary and Benefits:
Competitive salaries and benefits will be provided in accordance with national and university regulations. Housing subsidies, settling-in allowances, etc., will be provided according to university policies. Candidates may apply for on-campus talent apartments and assistance with children’s schooling and enrollment in kindergartens.
