Expected skills:
Applicants must show a strong interest in teaching as well as a high-level scientific record in accordance with UGA’s ambitions. They must identify with UGA’s values, that is, being open to the world, emphasising ethics and scientific integrity, showing an interest in teamwork and being committed to the community. They should also have a sense of responsibility, in particular with regard to environmental and social issues.
Context and educational objectives:
The university professor must be able to teach business law courses at both the bachelor's level (in-person and distance learning) and master's level (mainly in the Master's in Business Law - Business Legal Advisor, Master's in Intellectual Property and New Technology Law, and Social Law). They will be able to provide new teaching solutions and also contribute to work-study programmes in these master's degree programmes.
An additional specialisation in private law will be appreciated in view of the diversity of courses offered at the Faculty of Law.
In addition, thanks to their experience and ambition, they will be responsible for initiating and managing projects and tasks of general interest.
Research project and scientific impact:
The successful candidate will conduct high-quality research in the fields of business law and corporate social responsibility (CSR), addressing topics such as sustainable development, business ethics, non-financial standards, responsible corporate governance, socio-environmental compliance, sustainable investment, non-financial reporting obligations, executive liability, comparative CSR law, socially responsible investment, sustainable finance, and responsible supply chain standards and contracts.
They will also contribute to enhancing CRJ’s international visibility and to developing interdisciplinary collaborations. A strong commitment to the laboratory’s activities is expected, both to consolidate the emerging research momentum around environmental law and to support the ongoing work in business law.
