The successful candidate will hold a faculty appointment in the Department of the Geophysical Sciences and be a member of the Climate Systems Engineering initiative. Examples of relevant expertise include but are not limited to: mineral dissolution and weathering kinetics, carbonate chemistry and alkalinity cycling, mineral carbonation, ocean or soil biogeochemistry, trace metal and nutrient cycling, or subglacial water-rock interaction.
Applications are welcomed from scholars who have not previously worked on climate systems engineering. Research on climate systems engineering is inherently interdisciplinary, so we seek individuals with a track record of collaboration beyond their discipline; the University's culture is highly collaborative.

Salary and Benefits
Base salary range is: $155,000 - $210,000.
These base salary ranges are for a nine-month academic appointment. Individuals may be eligible for summer salary. These positions may be eligible for a taxable moving allowance.
