Teaching

Faculty members deliver research-driven, practice-oriented instruction across AGDA’s programs, employing current educational techniques that promote inquiry and interactive learning. Responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, assigning project topics, teaching courses, encouraging active classroom participation, addressing students’ questions, and presenting guest lectures and presentations as required.

Thesis/Capstone Supervision

Faculty members provide academic advising and guidance to students on graduate theses and capstone projects, including ongoing communication with the Department Director on students’ progress and course requirements where appropriate.

Assessment & Evaluation of Students

Faculty members design rigorous, standards-aligned assessments for postgraduate diploma and graduate courses; evaluate student performance using clear criteria aligned with learning outcomes; and ensure fair, unbiased grading.

Research & Scholarship

Faculty members engage in sustained scholarly activity by researching and publishing peer-reviewed work within their fields, contributing to AGDA’s research strategy and mission, preparing proposals, and applying for research funding.

Service & Shared Governance

Faculty members participate actively in faculty meetings, committees, and decision-making groups; offer constructive suggestions; coordinate with colleagues (including professors) on departmental duties; attend relevant conferences, seminars, and events; and contribute to departmental operations and academic initiatives as needed.
