Applicants must show a strong interest in teaching as well as a high-level scientific record in accordance with UGA’s ambitions. Educational expectations
With a profile firmly rooted in the contemporary period (Italy from 1945 to the present day), the new professor will be required to teach courses on civilisation, literature and/or arts, depending on their specialisations. The successful candidate may be called upon to teach students from all levels of Italian studies (undergraduates and Master’s students), both in the LEA and LLCER degree programme. The new professor will be required to teach in Italian and French in the various Master's degree courses, including the Master binational études françaises-études italiennes and /or the various Master’s in LEA that is Master RESET (Parcours Ressources, Environnement et Sociétés en Transition), Master CICM (Coopération Internationale et Communication Multilingue) and Master NTCI (Négociateur Trilingue en Commerce International). They may also be involved in preparing students for the recruitment examinations for teachers, particularly the Agrégation, depending on the department's needs.
An aptitude for developing interdisciplinary or transdisciplinary approaches will be highly valued.
The successful candidate will be expected to strengthen the link between teaching and research on socio-political, literary, artistic and cultural issues in Italian society since the Second World War. The candidate is therefore expected to play an important role in new pedagogical projects, particularly those of a collective and innovative nature. They should contribute to the dynamism and renewal of the Italian department’s training program by taking an active part in pedagogical reflection and practice.
By taking on collective responsibilities within the department, the faculty and the institution, the successful candidate will help to build the reputation of both Italian Studies and Université Grenoble Alpes.

Scientific profile
The LUHCIE laboratory aims to strengthen its focus on the period from 1945 to the present day, which is particularly sought after by Master's and PhD students. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in the LUHCIE’s pluridisciplinary scientific activities, by contributing from an intercultural perspective to strengthening the thematic synergies represented within the team. The successful candidate's research must be in line with the laboratory's scientific focus areas, in particular: axe 1: Circulations et transferts France-Italie; l’axe 2: Écritures, objets, formes de communication; l’axe 4: Territoires, pratiques et discours politiques. A particular attention is expected to be paid to the cultural and political issues of contemporary Italy, approached from the perspective of their representations, whether literary, artistic or historical. Applicants must demonstrate scientific dynamism, reflected in the ability to lead significant international project and consolidate the attractiveness and influence of LUHCIE.
