Scientific Profile
Graz University of Technology seeks an outstanding landscape architect with substantial professional experience whose work and research advance forward-looking approaches to ecological, climate-responsive, and resource-conscious landscape and urban development through the integration of landscape architectural expertise into the design process. The successful candidate is expected to develop a research programme that contributes to the advancement of nature-based solutions addressing a broad range of challenges related to territorial and urban transformation.
A strong commitment to teaching at the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral levels, as well as active participation in academic self-governance, is expected.
A completed doctoral degree (PhD) is an advantage.
Employment Requirements
- A completed university degree in a relevant discipline from an Austrian or equivalent international higher education institution, for example in landscape architecture or architecture
- Research experience in the field relevant to the advertised professorship
- An outstanding record of professional practice in the field relevant to the advertised professorship
- Excellent teaching skills and pedagogical aptitude, as well as a strong academic qualification

- a Portfolio
- a list of publications highlighting the 5 most important publications
- a research statement describing past and planned research activities (5 pages max.)
- a teaching statement (5 pages max.) and evaluations of past teaching activities (if available)

Language Skills
Proficiency in both German and English sufficient for teaching at the bachelor's and master's levels is expected.
