The Department of Finance in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University invites applications for Professor of Practice position in the areas of Finance or Financial Planning. The appointment is intended to be 0.75 FTE and will begin in August 2026. It is a non-tenure track faculty position with a fixed-term, academic-year contract.

Essential Functions: The candidate must contribute to the Department of Finance’s mission primarily in the areas of teaching, curriculum development, and service. The candidate must be able to deliver excellent instruction and to contribute to curriculum development at the undergraduate and master’s levels.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• A master’s degree in finance, business administration, or related field.
• At least ten years of distinguished professional experience in finance, real estate or a related area, with a record of recognized accomplishments or leadership.

Desired Qualifications:

• Ability to meet AACSB business accreditation standards.
• Potential for demonstrated excellence in teaching and curriculum development in finance at the undergraduate, graduate, and/ or executive level.
• Evidence of professional achievement such as industry recognition, applied projects, consulting, or published work relevant to practice, particularly with respect to banking or private credit, private equity, or work as a Certified Financial Planner.
• Evidence of ability to innovate and work collaboratively to achieve goals.
• Experience with relationship building and developing partnerships with key stakeholders
• Demonstrated knowledge of artificial intelligence through innovative teaching practices, cutting-edge research, and/or thought leadership in academic or professional communities.

Application deadline is December 10, 2025. Applications will continue to be accepted on a rolling basis for a reserve pool. Applicants in the reserve pool may then be reviewed in the order in which they were received until the position is filled. Candidates will be asked to create or use an existing Interfolio Dossier to submit the following materials:

1. Cover Letter describing how your background meets the qualifications and highlighting your teaching experience or agenda.
2. A resume or Curriculum Vitae.
3. Teaching statement.
4. Evidence of teaching competency/teaching evaluations if available.
5. Three confidential letters of recommendations.
