The School of Information Studies at the Syracuse University seeks to fill a position at the rank of Professor of Practice starting the Fall 2025 semester with an initial contract for 3 years. This is a full-time, 8.5 month faculty appointment, but will require summer teaching, as the DPS program is year round. Additional compensation will be given for summer teaching.
Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong interest and ability in teaching in our Doctorate of Professional Studies (DPS) program and advising DPS research projects.
We are particularly interested in applicants who can provide expertise in advising students and research management. They will advise two to three students per cohort. They will help manage the program by maintaining a pool of thesis advisors and committee members, and oversee the progress of students in each cohort.
