"Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine"

Job Summary: As Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at LUMC, you will play a key role in strengthening rehabilitation medicine within two leading academic institutions. You will provide strategic direction for education, research, and patient care, build sustainable networks, enhance scientific profiling, and contribute to innovative care developments. Responsibilities: Ensure visibility of joint research clusters at local, regional, national, and international levels; strengthen the positioning of scientific research; connect research and innovation with partners; lead in developing and applying innovative concepts in rehabilitation medicine; oversee patient care, research, and education as head of the department; manage budgets; develop and implement value-driven care pathways; and foster collaborations within academia and with external partners.

Qualifications and Requirements: You must be a promoted rehabilitation physician with extensive expertise and experience in rehabilitation medicine, recognized nationally and preferably internationally. Requirements include experience in guiding research for students, residents, researchers, and PhD candidates; proven ability to secure subsidies; possession of a completed Basic Qualification in Education (BKO); strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills; and the ability to form strong collaborations and make complex decisions.

What the Employer Offers: A temporary contract with prospects of permanence, working 46 hours per week; salary ranging from €14,197 to €17,540 gross per month based on full-time employment; positions at both LUMC and Basalt, including roles as professor and sub-department head at LUMC, and professor and medical manager at Basalt; opportunities for strategic influence on long-term vision; and a start date to be arranged.
