- Research: Advancing specialized research in the field of sociology of education.
- University administration and Community Engagement: Participation in various university and departmental committees; administrative and management duties. Duties related to student admissions (entrance examinations).
Subjects to be taught:
- Lectures (including seminars) in the undergraduate program (Teaching Certification Subjects) on topics such as “Educational Sociology,” “Study of Extra-Curricular Activities,” and “Study of Modern Teacher”
- Responsible for lectures on specialized graduate-level courses, as well as research supervision and thesis advising

Under this system, PIs (Principal Investigators and Co-Investigators) may, upon request, charge their personnel expenses to the direct costs of competitive research funds in proportion to the effort devoted to research activities. The funds thereby made available may be used at the PI's discretion, including as a salary supplement. The total amount that may be paid in a single fiscal year, however, is limited to 60% of the PI's annual salary.
