Background of the recruitment and description of the project
REC (Renewable Energy Center) comprehensively promotes research and development—ranging from the proposal of new systems to technical demonstration—related to the utilization of renewable fluid energy, such as wind, tidal currents, and waves. This call is open to researchers who are eager to actively engage in the development of foundational technologies for the utilization of marine renewable energy and to pioneer new research areas by promoting the establishment of a foundation for next-generation computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and the research and development of digital twin technologies and data-driven science utilizing tank experiments.
Work content and job description
For the position of Professor, the applicants must be capable of leading the field. For the position of Associate Professor, the applicants must be capable of pioneering new areas within the field. The applicants are also expected to actively participate in RECOW (Research and Education Center for Offshore Wind) and in RIAM's inter-university joint research projects. In terms of education, the successful candidate will be in charge of a cooperative course in the Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences, Kyushu University.

Salary: Annual salary system (introduced on April 1, 2020). The amount of annual salary will be determined in accordance with the relevant regulations of Kyushu University based on academic and professional background.
