Offer Description
The Centre for Translational Medicine at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) invites applications for three positions of Professor / University Professor (Research and Teaching). The successful candidates will conduct scientific research, participate in obtaining research funding, and deliver teaching activities in the fields of Veterinary Medicine, Medical Sciences, Health Sciences and Translational Medicine.

Skills/Qualifications
The candidate must hold the academic title of Professor or the degree of Habilitated Doctor (dr hab.) in Veterinary Medicine, Medical Sciences, Health Sciences or a related discipline.
The successful candidate should have:
- an outstanding scientific record with international recognition in the relevant field;
- experience in conducting and publishing internationally recognised research;
- experience as a principal investigator of a competitively funded research project or as a leader of a research task within a collaborative research project;
- documented teaching achievements and experience in academic education;
- experience in supervision and education of young researchers, including participation in doctoral supervision;
- proficiency in English enabling independent preparation of scientific publications and presentation of research results at international conferences.
Specific Requirements
Applicants must fulfil the requirements specified in Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 – Law on Higher Education and Science and the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW).
The candidate is expected to have:
- the academic title of Professor or a habilitation degree (dr hab.);
- a recognised international scientific profile;
- documented research, teaching and organisational achievements;
- completed research stays at recognised research institutions (minimum total duration of three months);
- experience in obtaining competitive research funding;
- documented achievements in supervising doctoral candidates or participation in doctoral procedures;
- excellent command of English.
