LC State invites applications for the position of Program Assistant for Student Work Programs.

Salary and rank based on experience and qualifications: $50,044 - $53,044

Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university

Required Qualifications:

• Excellent interpersonal, organization, time management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Work experience in higher education.

• Flexibility to work in an open office environment and actively collaborate with other staff members.

• Experience using situational awareness to provide excellent and adaptable customer service in a variety of situations.

Responsibilities:

• Managing the Work Scholar program.

• Managing the Federal, State, and JOB Work-study programs.

• Developing and presenting training materials for aid-based student work programs.

• Working with internal and external employer partners and supervisors to support student workers.

• Assisting students and families with general guidance on financial aid and scholarship processes, including completing the FAFSA, scholarship, and other financial forms or documents.

• Lead on the communication plan for Student Financial Services, including the development of correspondence and the establishment of timelines.

• Making presentations about financial aid, scholarship, and aid-based work programs to prospective students, current students, and high school counselors.

• Partnering with other office staff on projects and assignments.

• Serving on campus committees as needed.

• Additional duties include direct and indirect activities to support recruitment and retention of students.

• Other duties as assigned.
