Job Description:
The Coordinator will serve as the primary contact, facilitator, and advisor for the Engaged Citizen Program. In addition, they will support the Director and Program Manager in the promotion and development of service-learning partnerships among faculty, student, and community partners.
The coordinator will engage in the following activities:
Job Responsibilities:
- Engaged Citizen Program facilitation and logistics 50%
- Serving as primary internal and external contact for the program
- Facilitating student recruitment, orientation, and retention for the Engaged Citizen Program
- Maintaining confidential student data for multiple cohorts throughout the academic year
- Promoting the Engaged Citizen Program internally and externally through CCELL communication channels such as Facebook, Twitter, GroupMe, and email
- Service-learning program facilitation and logistics 20%
- Coordinating with the director and program manager in developing and maintaining service-learning partnerships among faculty, student, and community partners, such as contacting constituents, setting up meetings, helping to develop partnership agreements, etc.
- Working with CCELL staff to conduct community partner and student assessments of service-learning courses and the ECP program
- Program/event planning and execution 15%
- Facilitating faculty, student, and community partner awards and recognition
- Spearheading ECP student-focused events throughout the academic year to increase engagement and retention
- Spearheading ECP graduation ceremony/ies and programming
- Assisting CCELL staff with ongoing educational programming
- Office Management 15%
- ECP report writing and documentation
- Assisting CCELL staff with data management, documentation of service-learning activities, and assessment of service-learning
- Mentoring and supervising undergraduate student workers
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree
Specific Experience: experience as an academic advisor in higher education; strong human relations skills. Familiarity with service-learning and community engagement; demonstrated proficiency in writing, editing, design, and layout for social media and e-newsletters; demonstrated understanding of public relations concepts appropriate to university and community settings; attention to detail.
