Job Overview
The College of Medicine Center for Student Success is seeking to hire a part time (.5 FTE, 20 hours a week) Program Coordinator to work with the undergraduate students, staff, and faculty to plan, coordinate, and execute the evaluation of the newly created Harvey D. and Janet G. Cohen Leadership in Clinical Medicine Program. The Program introduces the foundational principles of leadership and hones the leadership skills of the next generation of healthcare providers, encompassing professions in medicine, nursing, pharmacy, allied health sciences, and broadly, healthcare administration. This undergraduate program provides UC students the opportunity to gain experience from highly experienced and noted clinicians and nationally renowned and highly successful healthcare leaders, as well as other leaders throughout a variety of disciplines. The Program Coordinator will play a central role in Program success and continuous improvement. The selected candidate will make independent contributions to the program, its running, and its modification through data collected and analyzed related to the Cohen Leadership in Clinical Medicine program outcomes. The position requires a high degree of accountability, responsibility, and coordination to enable the successful execution. The individual will be expected to exercise sound judgment as it relates to dealing with students, faculty, staff, administrative personnel, and external partners.
Essential Functions
- Develop, administer and analyze assessment/evaluation questionnaires. Compile statistics and prepare reports.
- Monitor quantitative and qualitative data on progress toward program objectives. Review objectives to identify problems and solutions, prioritize solutions and develop action steps for program improvement.
- Assist in the design of complex data processing systems for both data acquisition and analysis.
- Organize data acquisition and analysis procedures.
- Analyze and summarize results and respond to concrete project questions related to the work performed.
- Contribute to the design and conduct of seminars, classes, workshops, and other activities related to the program based on evaluation of existing program components.
- Work closely with faculty and staff on programmatic and student issues.
- Act as a liason from the program to other relevant internal departments and programs along with external entities and community organizations.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training to maintain up-to-date knowledge relavant to work activities.
- Function as a member of the Center for Student Success team to ensure the proper workflow and outcomes.
- Attend related meetings and functions.
- Perform related duties based on Program and Unit needs.
Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement
Required Experience
One (1) year of program coordination experience.

Master’s Degree
The Program Coordinator must be detail-oriented and have strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills. Must be able to retain a high volume of programmatic, college, and university related information while having the ability to critically think through complex situations.
