Job Description
We are seeking a staff member to work collaboratively with unit efforts to provide academic accommodations and support for students with disabilities.
Duties include: collect documentation of disabilities and confirm eligibility for academic accommodations; coordinate exams and alternate site testing accommodations; enter data into departmental databases on registered students; communicate with faculty regarding the provision of required academic accommodations; coordinate safety and emergency evacuation plans with Campus Police, Administrative Services, and Facilities for students with disability; coordinate alternate format academic materials; assist students and address difficulties in the classroom related to disabilities; collaborate on campus efforts to promote retention and degree completion for students with disabilities; comply with all relevant university policies and federal regulations governing student privacy and associated rights for individuals with disabilities.
Shift
M-F, 8am-5pm
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with individuals with disabilities as well as experience working in a higher education environment
Anticipated Hiring Range
$45,000-$50,000
