Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, implement, and coordinate operational facets of a specific Law School program including program-related workshops, events, and/or meetings.
ADDITIONAL JOB DETAILS:
- Develop a working knowledge of all aspects of the Feminism and Legal Theory Project (FLT) and the Vulnerability and the Human Condition Initiative (VHC).
- Maintain complete and accurate records to ensure compliance with immigration regulations for visiting scholars.
- Collaborate with visiting researchers, postdoctoral fellows, undergraduate students, and law students interested in the projects.
- Review and edit grant applications, project publications, social media, monthly digest, visiting scholar papers and presentations, books and articles, and additional materials as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program and two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize incoming work, manage information, and provide value-added service to others,
- Cultural fluency and ability to work well with academics of various professional and cultural backgrounds,
- Prior knowledge of or interest in feminism, law, legal theory, sociology, political science, philosophy, or social justice,
- Familiarity or comfort with learning audiovisual editing programs such as Audacity, Canva, KDENlive, and/or Vimeo, or comfort with various technologies.
- Ability to learn new programs and proactively apply creative solutions, and
- Attention to detail.
NOTE: Position tasks are generally required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location. Remote work from home day options may be granted at department discretion. Emory reserves the right to change remote work status with notice to employee.
