Salary Range: Up to $40,000-$50,000 annualized, commensurate with education, experience and qualifications.
Hours: up to 40 hours per week
Program Coordinator: non-exempt.
Senior Program Coordinator: exempt

Job Summary: College-level comprehensive support for COLFA's graduate programs to enhance the success of our students, facilitate the growth of our programs, and ensure the academic rigor of our programs.
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assigned phases of programs, which may include budget decisions, program selection, staff supervision, future planning, and innovation as related to graduate studies.
- Proposes, evaluates and coordinates the implementation of programs.
- Researches new program ideas, and proposes program design.
- Plans, schedules, and coordinates activities in assigned programs and projects.
- Ensures program needs are met through resource planning, tracking, and management. Resources include talent, supplies, and facilities.
- Produces and distributes program materials.
- Evaluates program activities and makes recommendations for changes and enhancements.
- Makes recommendations to ensure the program evolves as necessary to continue to serve the mission.
- Maintains tracking and reporting systems to monitor program/ participant progress and results.
- Working with programs on recruiting, admissions, student milestones and student success, and graduation processing.
- Creates reports to reflect student progress and program levels, and assists in the creation and maintenance of internal controls to protect student confidentiality and program reporting.
- Maintain electronic student records and tracking college-level statistics regarding admissions, enrollment, and graduation
- Maintain current thorough knowledge of COLFA and UTSA Policies, procedures, and deadlines to assist all students, faculty and staff with queries and concerns.
- Interacts with university departments, special groups, and external agencies to coordinate resources and communicate/market programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Senior Program Coordinator only:
- Facilitates the development of new partnerships for various programs.
- Coordinates staff training and development.
- Recommends new policies and procedures for improvement of program activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
- This position requires the ability to maintain the security and integrity of UTSA and its infrastructure.
- For Program Coordinator: Two (2) years of experience working with students and/or other groups to plan and coordinate activities and programs.
- For Senior Program Coordinator: Five (5) years of professional experience in program administration or coordination.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in higher education
- Experience working with Graduate Student Programs.
- For Senior Program Coordinator only: Master's degree from an accredited institution.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of all standard office equipment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- For Senior Program Coordinator only: Ability to interact professionally with faculty, staff, students, and the public. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Independent decision-making and problem-solving ability.

Working Conditions: Office environment. Ability to travel to and from meetings, training sessions, or other business-related events. Occasional after-hours and weekend work may be required.
Physical Demands: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required, only occasionally. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
This position will be primarily located on campus. Travel and parking expenses are the employee's responsibility.
