Emory University School of Medicine Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences invites applications and nominations for the position of Program Director for its Interventional Radiology Residency Programs - encompassing both the IR-Integrated and IR-Independent training pathways. This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the largest, most clinically rich, and most innovative IR training programs in the United States at a critical and exciting moment in its evolution.
The program encompasses 31 residents across IR-Integrated and IR-Independent pathways - training across 7 distinct clinical sites in the greater Atlanta metropolitan area with a wide clinical scope and breadth and culture of innovation. In addition to on-service training, residents and fellows receive more than 150 didactic lectures per year, cross-departmental lectures and multidisciplinary tumor boards (liver, portal hypertension, NET), are part of the Atlanta Interventional Radiology Society (AIRS) 2-3x/year and numerous international IR education partnerships, including Tanzania, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Israel, Egypt, South Africa, Georgia, Armenia, Peru, and others.
