The Opportunity

This role oversees comprehensive logistical support for domestic and international travel, event coordination, and budget management across several dairy-related educational programs, courses, workshops, and other events. It involves developing and maintaining educational materials, marketing outreach, and student recruitment efforts, while also serving as the staff liaison for the Cornell University Dairy Science Club (CUDS), managing travel, finances, and student and industry engagement.

While position responsibilities vary, every member of our community is expected to foster a culture of belonging and a healthy work environment by communicating across differences; being cooperative, collaborative, open, and welcoming; showing respect, compassion, and empathy; engaging and supporting others regardless of background or perspective; speaking up when others are being excluded or treated inappropriately; and supporting work/life integration of oneself and others.

Success Factors:

  • Exceptional Organizational and Project Management Skills: The role involves coordinating complex logistics for multiple programs, managing calendars, tracking budgets, and ensuring timely execution of events and outreach efforts. Success depends on the ability to juggle many moving parts efficiently and proactively.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Abilities: This position requires frequent interaction with students, faculty, stakeholders, and external partners. Clear, professional communication—both written and verbal—is essential for coordinating travel, marketing programs, facilitating meetings, and serving as a liaison for student groups.

Being a reliable team player who communicates clearly, shares responsibilities, and contributes to a positive work environment is essential for smooth program execution and innovation.

This is a full-time position at 100% FTE. This is a one-year term appointment that is contingent upon available work, funding, and performance. Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position. Relocation assistance will not be provided for this position.
