Job Description

• Advises prospective and enrolled international students on academic requirements, admissions processes, and curriculum planning. Supports registration, graduation audits, and academic record updates.
• Coordinates course scheduling and ensures accurate coding of academic programs and advisor assignments. Develops collaborative relationships with University stakeholders to support student success and program alignment.
• Manages specialized advising responsibilities for international student initiatives, including orientation programs, advising events, and student record maintenance.
• Coordinates meetings, agreements, and conduct-related matters.
• Oversees academic and behavioral support for international students.
• Leads recruitment and retention initiatives for international student programs.
• Collaborates with University offices to support international student programs, including admissions, transcript evaluation, graduation processing, and diploma coordination.
• Fosters a safe and inclusive environment and promotes equity through effective communication and partnership with campus stakeholders.

Short Job Description

• Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
• One year of experience working with college students.
• Demonstrated awareness of the diverse needs of students, faculty and staff from underrepresented backgrounds.
• Demonstrated commitment to working with culturally diverse students, faculty, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
• Demonstrated commitment to promote and participate in professional development focused on the unique needs of culturally diverse students, faculty and staff, including culturally responsive advising.
• Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Ability to travel in-state, out-of-state and internationally.
