Job Overview
As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients. In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine’s faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day.
The College of Medicine, Office of Curriculum Management and Integration is recruiting for one new Program Manager. This position reports directly to the Assistant Dean for Curriculum Management and Integration.
Essential Functions
- Support the Assistant Dean for Phase 3 Curriculum.
- Support the Transition to Residency Course Director and Specialty Track Directors in the Transition to Residency course planning, coordination, and management.
- Serve as the course coordinator for the planned Transition to Residency Course.
- Coordinate longitudinal electives.
- Coordinate the implementation and maintenance of Phase 3 course information into the college’s learning management system and student information system.
- Provide learning management system training to Phase 3 course coordinators and course directors.
- Support the annual course update process.
- Support the visiting student learning opportunities process.
- Track elective course and coordinator staffing updates.
- Monitor and approve clinical site and preceptor data entry requests.
- Support Healthcare Emergency Management courses.
- Support BLS training and recertification coordination.
- Support coordination of faculty development offerings on the topics of teaching and learning coordinated by the Office of Curriculum Management and Integration.
- Manage webpage updates.
- Provide proctoring support in the administration of assessments to students.
- Provide support to curriculum committees (e.g., scheduling, coordination of materials, documenting minutes).
- Collaborate with other College of Medicine offices and departments (e.g., Office of Student Affairs, clinical departments).
- Prepare reports for the Assistant Dean for Curriculum Management and Integration and Assistant Dean for Phase 3 Curriculum used for the continuous quality improvement process of the curriculum.
- Provide back-up support to other areas of the office in which this position is cross-trained.
- Participate in ongoing Office of Curriculum Management and Integration team professional development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree. Seven (7) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
