Program Manager
Position Summary
The Program Manager is responsible for overseeing advising for over 1500 students in both the Global and Disciplinary Honors tracks in Lloyd International Honors College (LIHC). Other duties include teaching, advising, mentoring, honors graduation and honors good standing clearances, student records management for Disciplinary Honors contracts and senior honors projects and Global Honors, pre-registration for incoming students, and SOAR coordination. The Program Manager will also carry out additional duties as delegated by the Assistant/Associate Dean to whom they report.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree with a minimum of three years of teaching; or advising experience and two years of experience working with electronic databases is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
Advising (60%): Honors advisors are secondary advisors for honors students. This position has as their primary responsibility advising students in the Global and Disciplinary Honors tracks. They provide advice on course selection, registration procedures, programs, policies, and other relevant topics. They provide information about types of Disciplinary Honors courses, referrals to faculty and departmental liaisons, and provide assistance with the senior honors project and honors contract process. Represent LIHC on Advising Council.
Teaching (10%): While non-tenure-track and mainly an administrative position, this position carries with it the responsibility of teaching 4 credit hours of honors courses each academic year.
Graduation Clearance and GPA Review Management (10%): Oversee the graduation clearance and GPA review processes for LIHC. Liaise with the Registrar’s Office to ensure Honors classes, contracts, and senior honors projects are documented on student transcripts. Provide information to the Registrar’s Office regarding student Honors status for graduation. Create reports for the Assistant/Associate Dean and the Dean as needed.
Global and Disciplinary Honors Student Records Management (10%): Manage and track student records for Disciplinary Honors contracts and senior honors projects ensuring that students are making successful progress through this honors track. Manage and track student records for Global Honors experiences and requirements ensuring students are making successful progress through Global Honors including tracking Global Honors experiences points. Create reports for the Assistant/Associate Dean and the Dean as needed.
SOAR and Preregistration (5%): Lead the preregistration of incoming students before SOAR. Liaise with the appropriate offices regarding LIHC’s participation in SOAR.
Secondary Responsibilities (5%): Lloyd International Honors College holds a large portfolio of responsibilities at UNCG. Most importantly, the Honors College delivers a comprehensive honors education to approximately 1500 students each year. LIHC carries out its role with a very small staff of professionals. This circumstance requires that each member of the staff generally understands the work of his or her co-workers and assists with Honors College projects, functions, and events beyond this position’s primary responsibilities. The LIHC Assistant/Associate Dean and Dean may assign additional duties beyond those listed as primary responsibilities to the person holding this position.
