Posting Context Statement:
Provides administrative support for the Advancing Markets for Producers (AMP) project, Innovative Agriculture and Marketing Partnership (IAMP), the largest research grant in University of Idaho history. The project includes eight funded partners, as well as over 30 additional supporting partners. This position performs complex administrative support duties with professionalism and confidentiality under the general supervision of project co-directors. Works closely with the Program Manager II to support partner communication, coordinate project personnel, and assist with annual performance reporting.
Position Overview:
This position supports the planning and completion of educational, outreach or professional programs; working with program staff, students, the public and/or agencies, to plan and oversee program activities. May lead a distinct area for the program such as outreach, assessment or financial management.
Duties may include:
- Participate in the development and implementation of program deliverables, services and activities
- Coordinate a team with an array of talents and responsibilities
- Collect, compile and summarize program data for reports
- Participate in developing program operating goals, objectives and protocols
- Maintain program budgets, monitoring and reviewing transactions for compliance with program requirements
- Lead collection and compilation of program assessment data
- May supervise the work of others or lead a team to accomplish assigned goals
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience:
- Two years of program coordination or program management experience
- Working in a team environment to accomplish shared goals
- Collecting, compiling, summarizing, and analyzing data for administrative reports
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree; four additional years of experience in program coordination (for a total of six years) may substitute for a Bachelor’s Degree
Additional Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Science, Organizational Leadership, Management, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent technical training
- Experience working directly with agricultural producers, landowners, or agriculture-related businesses
- Experience in agricultural production, commodity markets, and purchasing
- Demonstrated ability to design and produce written and electronic promotional materials
- Experience communicating and coordinating with stakeholders or partners across multiple organizations
