Position Description
Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.
Major/Essential Functions
- Assists in the definition of project scope, goals, objectives, and deliverables. Involves all relevant stakeholders and ensuring educational and logistical aspects are met. Work collaboratively with instructional designer on digital engagement strategies for virtual events.
- Coordinates internal resources and communication with third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects, including website updates.
- Develops and executes a detailed project plan for project management to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget. Including creating and managing teams for IPE events.
- Creates and maintains comprehensive project documentation. Communicates problems and solutions to Assistant Managing Director of Interprofessional Education (IPE) and relevant stakeholders.
- Measures project performance using appropriate tools and techniques and performs risk management to minimize project risks.
- Provides student, staff, and or faculty development/training related to teamwork, communication, roles/responsibilities, values/ethics or various other aspects of IPE and collaborative care.
- Supervises the IPE Capstone student internships and projects within IPE. Represents IPE as the Staff Amabassador for the IPE Ambassadors Student Organization.
- Responsible for assisting with Texas IPE Consortium duties, including collaboration, event orgaization, and program implementation as requested.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
