Notes to Applicant: This position is located at the Texas Gulf Coast SBDC Network Region Office, 1455 West Loop South in the Houston Galleria area. The SBDC Network, an off-campus department of the University of Houston, is seeking an organized and detail-oriented individual to support the Region Business Office. This position provides administrative, financial, purchasing, travel, and customer-service support to the department. Responsibilities: • Prepare financial and expenditure documents for the department. • Prepare and process cash deposits. • Manage P-Card expense reports and supporting documentation. • Track purchase order status and follow up as needed. • Maintain current contract lists and related records. • Coordinate food orders for internal events, meetings, and departmental activities. • Provide relief front-desk coverage and assist visitors and callers with professionalism. • Provide administrative support on special projects and other departmental needs. • Maintain a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and organization when handling financial and administrative information. The ideal applicant will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel, along with strong communication and customer service. The Texas Gulf Coast SBDC Network supports entrepreneurs and small business owners throughout the Texas Gulf Coast region through business advising, procurement advising, and training assistance. The SBDC Network is funded through cooperative agreements with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP), and the State of Texas. The continuation of all SBDC positions is contingent on the continuation of funding from the SBA, OSBP, and the State of Texas at current levels. MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
