Program Manager, Screen, Media & Digital Media Technology

  • Full-time, Fixed Term position for two years
  • Salary Academic Level SE2 + Teaching Leadership Allowance $15,000 - (Based on Qualifications) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements
  • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, however, but may be required to work and/or be based at other campuses of the University

About You

You are a dynamic and industry-connected leader with a strong background in Screen, Media, and Digital Media Technologies, including games and interactive media. You bring proven experience at a management level, ideally having led similar programs, and thrive in fast-paced, creative environments.

With a solid understanding of vocational and tertiary education, you know how to design and deliver programs that are both academically robust and highly relevant to industry needs. You have a track record of leading teams, driving innovation, and continuously improving program quality and student outcomes.

You're a natural collaborator, confident in building strong relationships with industry partners, academic staff, and key stakeholders. Your leadership style is hands-on, adaptable, and focused on empowering teams while keeping delivery on track.

Passionate about the future of screen and digital media, you stay across emerging trends and technologies, bringing fresh ideas that enhance learning experiences and graduate employability. You are organised, outcomes-focused, and committed to delivering impactful, future-ready education.

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

  • Capacity to effectively lead and manage a team of staff in the design, implementation and evaluation of innovative teaching materials, products and services.
  • Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
  • Effective organisational skills in the planning, development, implementation, operation and review of programs to achieve a quality-learning environment for students and staff.
  • Capacity to implement strategies to cater for differing learning styles and approaches to study including gender and cultural influences, and the needs of disadvantaged groups.
  • Skills in the use of information and communication technologies.
  • An understanding of resource management issues, including finance, facilities, management, OHS, Equal Opportunity and Industrial Relations.

Qualifications

  • Certificate IV TAE (must)
  • Diploma VET or above (desirable)
  • Bachelor or above in related area (desirable)
