History

RMIT University was established in 1887 as the Working Men’s College with the aim of bringing education to the working people of Melbourne. In 1934, it was renamed the Melbourne Technical College and later became the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT) in 1960.

  • Gillian Chung: A Hong Kong actress and singer. She is a member of the Cantopop duo Twins, along with Charlene Choi
  • Wu Chun: A Bruneian actor, singer, and model. He was a member of Fahrenheit, a Taiwanese Mandopop vocal quartet boy band, from its debut in 2005 to June 2011
