Research topics related to the MEXT Data-Driven Materials Research and Development Project (DX) include

• Research on the construction of a large-scale database of computational data
• Research on data-driven polymer design

Applicants with research experience in one or more of the following fields are particularly encouraged to apply: Information Science, Materials Informatics, Bioinformatics, Computational Science, Synthetic Biology, Metabolic Engineering, Microbial Engineering, Physiology of Photosynthetic Organisms, Structural and Physical Characterization of Polymers, Polymer Synthesis, Polymer Biosynthesis, Polymer Materials Chemistry, Fiber Materials, Soil Science, Plant Nutrition, Food Chemistry, and Biotechnology.

Applicants must hold, or be expected to obtain by the start date of employment, a Ph.D. degree in information science, engineering, life sciences, agricultural sciences, or a related field, or possess equivalent research achievements. Applicants should preferably have practical experience relevant to the duties described above, be capable of conducting research independently, and be able to communicate effectively in English.

The position is subject to annual renewal based on performance and project funding.
