Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Enterprise Application Services, this position contributes to the design, development, and support of innovative technology solutions that enhance services across the College. Working closely with technical staff and campus partners, the incumbent develops and implements software applications, analyzes business needs, improves system functionality, and provides training and support to end users.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Provides advanced technical support to the Assistant Director, Enterprise Application Services and to different departments in translating business needs into the development of functionality for multiplatform applications.
Provides advanced technical support in the testing, debugging, and tracking of developed application modules.
Provides advanced technical support by developing and testing system queries for application modules.
Assists in the development, testing, and maintenance of interface functionality between systems.
Assists in developing and maintaining application documentation including, but not limited to, release notes and flow diagrams.
Assists in developing and testing system queries.
Migrates and translates code between programming languages.
Optimizes code to minimize the use of computing resources.
Learns and applies new technologies related to module development.
Performs related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

An Associate in Arts Degree in Computer Science or a related field; AND One year of increasingly responsible experience in applications development and application security.

NOTE: Four (4) years of experience in application development and application security may be substituted in lieu of the education requirement.
