Augustana University invites applications for the position of Programmer Analyst within the IT department. This full-time role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting system integrations that improve administrative operations and data workflows across the university. Working primarily within the Jenzabar One (J1) ERP and Microsoft SQL Server environment, this position helps reduce data silos, streamline cross-system processes, and support effective institutional reporting and decision-making.

The duties, competencies, and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining system integrations across enterprise and third-party platforms.
• Writing and supporting complex SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for reporting and integrations.
• Analyzing and documenting business processes and cross-system data flows.
• Identifying process gaps and recommending integration and automation solutions.
• Troubleshooting data, application, and integration issues.
• Collaborating with campus departments and vendors on system improvements and upgrades.
• Creating and maintaining technical and process documentation.
• Supporting users and stakeholders with process and system enhancements.

We seek a collaborative and detail-oriented professional who communicates effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences and demonstrates initiative, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience and training.
• Experience working with SQL required.
• Experience with system integrations, APIs, ERP platforms, reporting tools, or higher education systems preferred.
