Job Title: Project Assistant

Job Type: Contract Basis

Title of Research Project: FLOOD EARLY WARNING SYSTEMS–MANIPUR (FLEWS–MN)

Project Duration: 1 year or till the closure of the project, whichever is earlier

Sponsored by: North Eastern Space Applications Centre (NESAC), Govt of India, Dept. of Space, in coordination with ISRO under Plan of Action (PoA) Projects –North Eastern Council (NEC), MDoNER, Govt. of India

Department: Civil Engineering

Qualification: Essential: M.Tech/ M.Sc or equivalent PG degree in Water Resources/ Hydrology/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Environmental Sc./ Earth Sc./ Remote Sensing & GIS with relevant B.Tech/ B.E / B.Sc degree with 1st Class PG degree. Or Graduate degree in B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Sc in Civil Engg/ Agricultural Engg./ Geoinformatics or equivalent with 1st Class degree. Job Profile/Requirements: i) Hydrographic & hydrological surveys ii) DGPS-RTK, GPS field surveys iii) Hydro-meteorological Data Monitoring & Assembly, etc. Desirable: Candidates with experience in DGPS, GPS, Weather data interpretation, etc.

Fellowship: Rs 25,000/- (consolidated)
