In 1956, the German Government offered technical assistance for establishing an institute of higher education in engineering in India. The first Indo-German agreement in Bonn, West Germany for the establishment of the Indian Institute of Technology at Madras was signed in 1959.

Job Title: Project Associate

Department: Mechanical Engineering

Educational Qualification: B-Tech/M-Tech in Mechanical Engineering/Biomedical Engineering/Instrumentation Engineering or Allied disciplines. There are two major requirements: (1) The candidate should also have a strong academic background. (2) The candidate should have some experience with product design and development.

Tenure of the Project: Initially for one year, later extendable based on the performance

Job Location: Chennai, Tamilnadu

Pay Scale: Rs.35,000/- to Rs.40,000/- Per month
