Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Kancheepuram is an Institute of National Importance (INI) established in 2007 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, to pursue design and manufacturing oriented engineering education and research and to promote the competitive advantages of Indian products in global markets.

Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) offers design centric programmes such as B.Tech (CSE), M.Tech (CSE) with specialization Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and Ph.D. in various research areas.

Research Position: Project Associate – I (One Position)

Title of the project: Development of Energy Efficient Wireless Sensor Network and Communication Platform for Precision Agriculture

Sponsoring/Funding Agency: TIH Foundation for IoT and IoE (TIH-IoT) at IIT Bombay

Stipend/Qualification:
1. Rs. 31,000 per month for B.E/B.Tech and M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science/Engineering (or related areas such as IT, Networking, IoT, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security/Information Security etc.), or B.E/B.Tech with valid GATE Score.
2. Rs. 25,000 per month for B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science/Engineering (or related areas).

Desirable Skills:
- Understanding of basics algorithms and network protocol design
- Basic knowledge of wireless communications, IoT, Cloud Computing
- Work/Project development experience using Micro controllers (e.g. Arduino or Raspberry-pi) and software such as NS-3, Python etc.
- Basic knowledge of Mobile and Web application development
- Good English and Report Writing Skills.

Project Duration: 24 Months

Age: Preferably below 32 Years
