Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Kancheepuram, Chennai, is an Institute of National Importance established in 2007 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, focusing on design and manufacturing-oriented engineering education and research.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering offers programs such as B.Tech (CSE), M.Tech (CSE) with specialization in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and Ph.D. in various areas. The curriculum follows ACM recommendations and covers topics like Image Processing, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Biometrics, Graph Theory, Combinatorial Optimization, Reconfigurable Computing, Wireless Sensor Networks, IoT, Blockchain, and Cyber Security.

Position: Project Associate – I (One Position)

Project Title: Development of Energy Efficient Wireless Sensor Network and Communication Platform for Precision Agriculture

Sponsoring Agency: TIH Foundation for IoT and IoE (TIH-IoT) at IIT Bombay

Stipend and Qualifications:

• Rs. 31,000 per month: B.E/B.Tech or Equivalent and M.E/M.Tech in Computer Science/Engineering or related areas such as IT, Networking, IoT, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security/Information Security.
• Or, B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science/Engineering or related areas with a valid GATE Score.
• Rs. 25,000 per month: B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science/Engineering or related areas.

Desirable Skills: Understanding of basic algorithms and network protocol design; Basic knowledge of wireless communications, IoT, Cloud Computing, Docker, and Containers; Work/Project experience with Micro controllers (e.g., Arduino or Raspberry-pi) and software such as NS-3, Python; Basic knowledge of Mobile and Web application development; Good English and Report Writing Skills.

Project Duration: 24 Months
