Organization Profile: Kalasalingam was established in 1984 and it is Located at the pristine foothills of scenic Western Ghats of southern Tamil Nādu. The college obtained the Deemed to be University status in 2006. The Institution has been serving the society for thirty nine long years and it caters to the needs of the students from all walks of the society. Kalasalingam offers UG programmes, PG programmes and Ph. D programmes in various disciplines of Engineering, Science, Technology and Humanities.

Research Position: Project Associate – I

Title of the project: Development of an automated traffic control system with the smart self-sensing pavement incorporated with piezo-resistivity materials

Sponsoring/Funding Agency: Department of Science and Technology (DST-SERB – SURE)

Essential Qualifications: M.E/M. Tech in Structural Engineering/ Transportation Engineering and M.E/M. Tech in Electricals and Electronics Engineering (Control systems), with minimum of 65% marks or 7.5 CGPA from any recognized University/Institute. Preference will be given for the candidates with GATE Score.

Desirable Qualifications: Candidate possessing strong background in Concrete Technology and Traffic signaling system.

Project Duration: 36 months

Stipend: Rs. 25,000 per month + 16% HRA as per DST norms

Note: The appointment of the candidate will be governed by the terms and conditions of the Institute/ funding agency particularly applicable to the said project as and when required. The selected candidate will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer. The fellowship may be terminated with a 30-day notice before completion of the tenure, if performance till date is not deemed satisfactory.
