"Project Associate-I"

Applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for the position of Project Associate-I for the Bureau of Indian Standards funded research project (Project code: PCD0256) titled "Study on Pyrolysis Oil for Determination of Correlation amongst Feedstock, Composition, Manufacturing Technology, and Performance Characteristics" under the Principal Investigator Dr. Ruben Sudhakar D, Associate Professor, Department of Energy and Environment, National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli.

Qualifications:

• Essential Qualification: B.E./ B.Tech in Energy Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / B.Sc. in Physics / Chemistry / relevant specialization with first division or higher.
• Desirables:
  • Understanding the fundamentals of biomass conversion and waste-to-energy technologies, pyrolysis in particular.
  • Good technical documentation skills.

Job Description:

1. Research and development on the production, characterization, and testing of pyrolysis oil.
2. Data collection through field visits and other means from various stakeholders such as industries and end-users.
3. Related characterization and tests as per relevant standards.
4. Compilation of Results.
5. Report preparation and presentation.

Job Location: Tiruchirappalli, Tamilnadu

Emoluments: Rs. 34,800 per month, including HRA
