Project Coordinator for Overseas and Intercultural Programs
Position Summary
The Office of the Vice Provost for International Education (VPIE) welcomes applications for the position of Project Coordinator for Overseas and Intercultural Programs. The Project Coordinator will be stationed at the University at Buffalo and will play a key role in administering the University at Buffalo’s overseas (Singapore-based) programs.
The Project Coordinator will:
- Manage program student and academic records, including supporting course scheduling, monitoring student registration, evaluating student transfer credit requests, and maintaining course records.
- Manage course articulation processes, and coordinate related matters with campus partners.
- Maintain program communications, including liaising with campus partners, visitors, and others. Collect, triage and disseminate various materials including course materials. Manage program website and the departmental newsletter.
- Coordinate program travel, provide reimbursement support, and advise on related processes and regulations. Manage non-salaried appointments, stipend and contractor payments, and support overseas and non-citizen payments. Provide other general business and operating support.
- Provide logistical coordination for events including scheduling and organizing activities.
- Assist with other related projects and duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree and two years related experience. Experience in an area directly related to position responsibilities such as office administration, student record administration, or academic and event scheduling is desired.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively and respectfully to individuals from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to use or learn a wide range of computer applications and systems; a proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Competence in using Peoplesoft software or similar student information systems, and a working knowledge of MS Access database.
- Experience working with international or intercultural education programs.
