The project represents a significant step toward the development of an advanced laser cleaning platform for large-scale infrastructure. By integrating cutting-edge laser physics with industrial engineering, the project aims to demonstrate safer, more precise, and environmentally responsible alternatives to conventional surface cleaning techniques used in infrastructure maintenance.
The Project Management Coordinator will play a central role in the professional management and coordination of the project, overseeing the planning, implementation, and reporting of project activities. The role will support the effective delivery of project outcomes and provide coordination, guidance, and mentoring to project team members.
The Person
The candidate will have progress towards qualifications in Project Management or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience managing complex projects within engineering or physics environments. They will demonstrate strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate complex scientific or engineering activities, manage competing priorities, and deliver high-quality outcomes under limited supervision. The role requires proven experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams, including the ability to guide, mentor, and support staff to achieve project objectives on time and within budget. Excellent communication skills are essential, including the ability to engage effectively with clients and convey technical or scientific information clearly, both verbally and in writing. The candidate will also have the ability to build productive working relationships across a diverse academic and professional environment.
