Stakeholder Coordination – Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects by coordinating with university departments, faculty, staff, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders. Facilitate project meetings, communicate project status, and help translate departmental needs into project requirements.Procurement & Contract Administration – Coordinate procurement activities in accordance with university policies and applicable regulations. Assist with consultant and contractor selection, administer contracts, review change orders, and process payment requests while maintaining project documentation.Financial Management- Develop and monitor project budgets, review project expenditures, track contingency usage, and assist in maintaining fiscal accountability throughout project execution. Coordinate with appropriate university departments regarding funding and project financial reporting.Construction Administration – Monitor construction activities to verify compliance with contract documents, project schedules, quality expectations, and safety requirements. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, inspectors, and Facilities staff to resolve construction issues and facilitate project completion.Sustainability & Campus Integration- Promote sustainable design and construction practices aligned with university goals. Ensure projects integrate seamlessly with campus infrastructure and long-term master planning.Operational Support – Provide project management support and technical consultation to Operations & Maintenance for facility improvement projects, building repairs, and operational needs as assigned.Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree.
- Three years of related work experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities for the position:
- Working knowledge of general construction and industry accepted practices.
Basic knowledge of:
- Life/Safety Hazmat and fire regulations.
- Word processing.
- Blueprint reading.
- Electrical, plumbing & HVAC practices.
On site project management. Ability to handle multiple tasks and conflicting priorities. Provide supervision and coordinate the work of others
Preference for candidates that hold OSHA30, LEED, PMP certifications or advanced relevant degrees. Experience with Bluebeam and Procore preferred.
