Job Description
At the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University (CEPR), the mission is to transform education through quality evidence. The Project Manager will support the Math Teaching and Teacher Learning team, managing the M-Powering Teacher Coaching (MPT) intervention with independence. Responsibilities include coach recruitment, training, oversight, supporting research efforts, and further development of MPT Coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage coach recruitment and hiring (10%): Develop recruitment plans, facilitate interviews, propose hires, monitor payments, and handle retentions or terminations.
- Lead coach training and oversight (65%): Plan and implement trainings, customize materials, monitor coaching, supervise staff, and provide ongoing support.
- Support larger research project efforts (15%): Contribute to teacher recruitment, coordinate with partners, and streamline processes.
- Manage further development of MPT Coaching (10%): Provide feedback on app development, contribute to new measures, and adapt training materials.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree plus three years of experience in coaching mathematics teachers, classroom teaching, or research-practice partnerships. Proficiency in MS Office and excellent communication skills required.
Additional Qualifications: Degree in mathematics or education preferred; experience with specific tools like Quickbase or Qualtrics is a plus.
