Project Manager of Industry Engagement - College of Cooperative Education and Professional Studies
Job Overview
The Project Manager will serve as a key member of the Industry Engagement Team, supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of projects and initiatives that align with the college's strategic goals for industry partnerships and engagement. This role will collaborate closely with academic departments, external partners, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery and measurable impact of key initiatives.
This role will primarily function from the 1819 Innovation Hub, located at 2900 Reading Road. CCPS participates in the University's alternative work program; this position may be hybrid in accordance with UC policies. Residence must be in the tri-state area within reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required. Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies.
Essential Functions
- Support the implementation of college-wide and departmental projects related to industry engagement.
- Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to define project goals and success metrics.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and communication strategies to support the execution of strategic initiatives.
- Work with the Operations Manager to develop and maintain systems for tracking project progress and outcomes.
- Identify and manage project risks and dependencies.
- Facilitate regular project update meetings with stakeholders.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools within the team.
- Provide clear documentation of project scope, deliverables, status, and results.
- Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education
Bachelors degree required
Required Experience
Six (6) years of experience managing complex projects in higher education, nonprofit, or industry settings. One (1) year of lead or supervision responsibility experience. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Experience working with diverse stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and external partners.
Additional Qualifications Considered
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent. Experience in strategic planning and performance tracking. Familiarity with CRM or project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com). Experience in industry engagement or partnership development.
