About the role

This role is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) to provide project management support for a five-year programme of clinical research. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams contributing to various elements of the programme and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of its overall aims.

The role involves close collaboration with researchers, research delivery teams, the funder, and patient representatives. Key responsibilities include managing the programme to ensure milestones are achieved on time and within budget; coordinating five distinct work packages to meet the programme’s objectives; and attending key meetings to monitor progress.

In addition, the postholder will lead the knowledge mobilisation of programme outputs, ensuring findings are effectively shared and applied. They will also oversee reporting requirements to funders and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance and high-quality submissions.

For this role, you will need to be on site 2 days a week. Although we can accommodate working from home for this role, flexibility to be on-site will be expected due to business needs.

What we’re looking for

You will have:

  • A good working knowledge of the research landscape
  • Previous experience of leading and successfully deliverying projects on time and to budget
  • Effective leadership and management skills
  • Experience working in a multidisciplinary team
  • Expereicne in writing reports and managing budgets.
