Serves as the Office of Research and Innovations's central administrative liaison for defense and federal activities that requires coordinating across investigators, Office of Sponsored Programs, TTUHSC Finance, Procurement, Legal, Compliance, IT/security, facilities, and other institutional offices as appropriate.

Coordinates with Texas Tech University System institutions and other external partners on the administration of collaborative defense contracts and programs, helping align institutional responsibilities, resources, services, reporting, and program requirements.

Maintains administrative and financial visibility across TTUHSC's defense portfolio, including program budgets, expenditures, deliverables, deadlines, procurement activities, and other key requirements, and provides regular updates to Office of Research and Innovation's leadership on program status, needs, and potential risks.

Partners with research development offices as new defense opportunities and partnerships are developed, providing administrative and operational planning to support the transition of new awards into TTUHSC while the development teams take the lead on defense and federal funding development and research growth efforts.
