Title of project: Development of New Quinoxaline based 2-Pyrazolines as Potent and Selective MAO-A Inhibitors: In silico Studies, Synthesis and Biological Evaluation
Funding Agency: ICMR, Government of India
Department: Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry
School: School of Pharmaceutical Education & Research
Monthly remuneration: The candidate will be paid a stipend of Rs. 56,000 + 27% HRA per month for the first two years and a 5% hike in salary for the third year. Selected candidate will have to join immediately.
Tenure: The initial appointment will be for 6 months. The contract will be renewable subject to satisfactory performance and project requirements. The total project duration is 3 years. The project started in June 2024.
Essential qualifications: First Class M Pharm/ M.S. (Pharm.) in Pharmaceutical Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Analysis/ Medicinal Chemistry. Ability to design and execute independent research studies. Working knowledge of bioinformatic tools for the development of new synthetic compounds. Good communication skills.
