What You'll Do:
You'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair residential and commercial propane heating systems, tanks, piping, and appliances while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities include:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing propane tanks, piping, heating equipment, and appliances
- Diagnosing and resolving electrical and mechanical service issues
- Performing system testing, calibration, and repairs according to manufacturer recommendations
- Documenting equipment details, test measurements, and service work performed
- Communicating repair recommendations and solutions clearly to customers
- Maintaining appropriate stock, parts, tools, and safety equipment in company vehicles
- Working closely with dispatch to manage service schedules and customer expectations
- Maintaining company vehicles, including inspections, cleaning, and reporting mechanical issues
- Identifying opportunities for additional services, equipment upgrades, and service agreements
- Participating in company-provided technical and safety training programs
What You'll Need:
- 3+ years of propane service experience preferred (trainee opportunities available)
- Applicable propane, gas fitter, or plumbing licenses preferred
- Clean MA, NH, or ME driving record
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical manuals
- Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical equipment issues
- Ability to pass company-provided drug test, alcohol test, and physical
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, overtime, and on-call shifts
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and professionalism
