Job Description:
BioMed Research Administration offers a collaborative, results-focused environment where staff partner with departmental colleagues to comprehensive research support. This position provides administrative pre-award services to Division of Biology and Medicine investigators across a portfolio of federal, state, industry and foundation-funded research grants and contracts.
Under the general supervision of the Assistant Director, Pre-Award Services, the Proposal Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting researchers' efforts to obtain funding for innovative scientific, training and career development projects. Serving as a trusted resource, this role guides investigators through the application process to ensure proposals are high-quality, submitted on schedule, and adhere to federal, state and institutional regulations, policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Required: 2-4 years of related experience, preferably in research administration
- Experience with proposal preparation with federal and non-federal grants is desired.
- Experience using Huron grants management systems (or similar) is preferred.
- Familiarity with eRA Commons, Research.gov, Grants.gov and ProposalCentral is preferred.
- Experience working with grants in a higher education or non-profit institution is preferred.
- And/or an equivalent combination of education and experience
